With Bank One, I have successfully transferred credit lines and/or closed cards and moved their credit lines. However, more recently I've been told by the CSRs that getting a resulting Bank One line with more than $30-35K requires some sort of special approval, and can't be done over the phone. I haven't pursued that any further I’ve repeated tried to get Discover to consolidate my Discover Platinium and older Discover Private Issue lines, but no luck.
